The other day, "Satellite of Love" by Lou Reed was running through my head.

And since my mind seems to be on a cosmic fixation at the moment, I decided to do a little searching at a fantastical site called youtube.

For those unfamiliar, youtube has all sorts of fun & sappy & violent & obscure video clips on all sorts of ramdon subjects. My personal favorite has to be the ending of the 1982 Cal-Stanford football game with the last-second touchdown scored through a bewildered pack of band members. See for yourself:

Getting back to the space-related stuff, I did a search for 'William Shatner', and have found the following:

Bill's classic rendition of "Rocket Man", as performed at the 1978 Sci-Fi TV Awards show, and introduced by "Rocket Man" co-writer Bernie Taupin:

Bill performing "It Was a Very Good Year" on The Dinah Shore Show:

Bill selling the Commodore Vic-20 home computer system:

Bill & Leonard Nimoy in an ad for Western Airlines:

Betcha can't watch just once!
